whereas this incident caused great concern, the residents of Pellendorf and twelve faxing did not want to be stopped. For over 15 years, they have been fighting for the implementation of a planned bypass that is supposed to relieve their communities. Although the permits are available, the project is still on the brink with a budget of around 44 million euros. The residents, together with the SPÖ Himberg, recently organized a protest to put the topic back into public awareness. With signs in hand, they drew attention to the urgency of the bypass.
