Farewell to Commandant Rudolf Reissig: 40 years in the service of security

After almost four decades in the service of the police, Rudolf Reissig, the commander of the Dobersberg police inspection, started his retirement. This was recognized in a solemn farewell event, in which the mayors of the surrounding communities of Dobersberg, Gastern, Kautzen and Waldkirchen also took part in order to thank him for his outstanding work.

Rudolf Reissig, originally from Rudolz, began his career on February 1, 1985 at the Vienna police. At the beginning of his career, he worked in various wax rooms, including Alsergrund and Otto-Wagner-Platz. In 1997 he moved to the Federal Gazette, where he most recently worked as a department head at the Weikertschlag border control center. His next stations led him to Waidhofen/Thaya, where he worked as the 1st deputy of the commander before taking over the management of the police inspection in Dobersberg in 2017.

During his term as commander of Dobersberg, there were several remarkable events. This included the arrest of a bank robber in Vienna and the discovery of a stolen vehicle abroad and its return home. These successes were particularly honored by the local leaders during the celebrations.

expressed his farewell and thus aladized the high priority that the cooperation with the community had for him. The mayors confirmed this in their words of thanks and wished him all the best for the future.

From October, Rudolf is planning to devote himself intensively to his long -term passion, hunting, which represents a new phase of life for him. For him, this change not only brings more free time, but also the opportunity to follow his hobbies in more detail.
