The focus: security, mobility and parking problem
In a dedicated project, the district of Tulln illuminated the various aspects of mobility in the district in a twelve -part series entitled "Fahr with". The series started with the topic of traffic safety, in particular to support children who go to school. District Police Commands Deputy Wolfgang Siedler emphasizes that police officers and school pilots play an important role in ensuring the path to school. "Our students have a traffic safety training adapted to the school level," adds Birgit Schnefind, the director of the Egon Schiele elementary school.
Furthermore, those responsible also looked at the daily pendulum routes of the Tullner. Various means of transport such as bicycles, cars and classic cars came into play. For example, Alfred Kaiblinger, a former professional car driver, said: "Especially with the racing bike on the street, there are hardly any distances that are not recommended." The enthusiasm for cycling is also promoted in the district by the Radclub Tulln, which takes care of the safety of children while cycling.
tire change and accident hotspots in focus
Another highlight of the series was a tire change competition in which the prominent participants competed against an experienced mechanic. Here they could not only demonstrate their skill, but also receive important tips for vehicle maintenance. Mechanic Franz Zeh explained what vehicle owners can control themselves, such as the oil level or the brake fluid.
Another theme block of the project devoted himself to the parking lot situation in Tulln. "Finding an inexpensive parking lot is often not that easy near the main square," reported Stefanie Fischer from Grafenwörth. This challenge leads to stressful situations, especially for commuters who have to go to work every day.
popular holiday destinations and green mobility
In addition to the traffic issue, the most popular travel destinations for the autumn holidays were also determined. Egypt, Dubai and Cyprus were the most credited goals, as an employee of the Ruefa travel agency in Tulln revealed. This shows the interest of the Tullner in global travel destinations, which means that local travel providers can report on increased demand.
Green mobility is also an important topic in the district. Mayor Franz Aigner emphasizes that mobility plays a central role in the 2024 future workshop, where active working groups were formed into various mobility offers. Here, citizens support politics in questions about the development of contemporary mobility solutions.
Overall, the "Driving Mit" series spans a wide arc about mobility in the Tulln district and illuminates the challenges and opportunities that this brings. For details and further information on the mobility series, readers can report the reporting on www.meinbezirk.at read.
