Lower Austria's focus: Successful companies excellent
In Lower Austria, the export industry plays a crucial role in the economic success of the region. Over 10,000 companies are active in international trade and in 2023 sold goods worth more than 30 billion euros to many countries. In order to appreciate these outstanding services, the Lower Austrian Export Prize was awarded to various companies, an award that is awarded by the Commerce Chamber of Lower Austria, the state of Lower Austria/Ecoplus (International) and the Lower Austrian Association.
"Export is our prosperity locomotive," said Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and underlined the importance of international trade relationships for the prosperity of Lower Austria. The region has benefited many markets abroad and is committed to strengthening the competitiveness of domestic businesses, especially in view of the upcoming Expo in Japan in 2025.

The awards show the diversity and innovative strength of Lower Austrian entrepreneurship. WKNÖ President Wolfgang Ecker emphasized that exporting to the EU, especially to Germany, and the USA are still central markets.
Another highlight was the export forum in Lower Austria, in which 15 business delegates offered the 35 Lower Austria entrepreneurs: offered valuable information and exchange options. Here new products were presented and expert opinions were obtained.
As Wolfgang Ecker also emphasized, each target market varies and requires tailor -made export strategies. The WKNÖ offers comprehensive support from around 700 experts at over 100 bases. This individual assistance is particularly important for companies that want to assert themselves in their international markets.
In this dynamic and challenging time, it remains exciting to observe how the Lower Austrian export industry will continue to grow and adapt to new conditions. The goal remains clear: a strong and competitive Lower Austria on the global trading stage. For more information about the award winners and the export forum, a look on medianet.at .
