LC Sicking shines at State Championships in Cross Run in Tulln

Schörfling. The cross-country skiing state championships in Tulln were a real highlight of the season for the athletes of LC Sicking. In cool temperatures and airy wind, the athletes showed remarkable performance on the demanding route of 8.4 kilometers with 200 meters of altitude.

The athletes were able to record success at the Upper Austrian Cross-State Championships 2024, where they won silver and bronze in the short distance. Now it was time to clear up at the state championships and the expectations were high.

The team, consisting of the athletes Markus Lemp, Jochen Köllnreitner and Werner Prayer Roither, reached fourth place in the highly contested long -distance, which is a remarkable performance in view of the competition. This placement shows that the LC Sicking can keep up not only at regional level, but also in national competitions.

In the individual ratings, the results were also gratifying. Werner prayer roother secured third place in his age group M35 with a time of 36:04 minutes. The other two runners were also able to call up their performances: Markus Lemp achieved eighth place in the general class in 30:40 minutes, while Jochen Köllnreitner took 31:41 minutes.
