Agrobiogel from Tulln: With innovation to victory at the Lower Austria Export Prize
Lower Austria is once again one of the leading locations for export -oriented companies. Agrobiogel GmbH from Tulln has recently received the Lower Austrian Export Prize in the "New Exporters" category. This award, which is awarded by the Chamber of Commerce Lower Austria (WKNÖ), the state of Lower Austria and the NÖ (IV NÖ) industrial association, is characterized by particularly successful export initiatives.
AGROBIEGEL, a spin-off at the University of Natural Center in Tulln founded in 2020, specializes in innovative solutions for agriculture. Your product, a biological water storage granulate based on Lignin, aims to support farmers and foresters in coping with dryness and drought. "This granulate improves the water supply of the plants and thus increases the yields while the irrigation effort drops," explains Tobias Keplinger, COO of the company.
expansion to the export market
Since its foundation, Agrobiogel has increased the range of production considerably and is planning an increase to 1,000 tons annually by 2025. The focus of the export was a central part of the corporate strategy from the start. In just three years, Agrobiogel has been able to win sales partners in several European countries and plans to open up overseasuries such as the USA after an expansion in the roof region.
"Daverri and dry periods become a major problem worldwide, we recognized the importance of export early. The team currently consists of eight employees from different countries who work together on the development of sustainable solutions for agriculture.
export as an economic engine
The importance of export for the Lower Austrian economy cannot be assessed highly enough. Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner emphasizes: "With around 10,000 export-oriented companies, Lower Austria is the land of exporters. Export is our wealth-locomotive." She underlines that every second euro that the companies earn comes from abroad, which supports the resilience and competitiveness of the regional economy.
Wolfgang Ecker, President of the WKNÖ, emphasizes that individual export strategies are required for various markets: "Whether in Europe or television markets, every target region has its own challenges and requirements." The WKNÖ offers extensive support from experts and tailor -made services to help companies in internationalization.
Michaela Roither, Managing Director of IV NÖ, demands courageous reforms to secure competitiveness: "In order for our companies to grow the challenges in international markets, clear planning and measures to reduce wage costs are crucial." These measures are intended to strengthen the company's back and promote innovation as well as growth.
The Lower Austria Export Prize was awarded in five categories: In addition to agrobiogel, VWMS GmbH (smaller companies), FWT Composites & Rolls GmbH (Middle Company), the Neuman Aluminium Fließpresswerk GmbH (large company) as well as Camcat - Systems GmbH (service businesses) were awarded.
The Lower Austria Export Forum offered other entrepreneurs the opportunity to exchange ideas with economic delegates from 23 countries and to present innovative products. Such platforms are crucial for the exchange of knowledge and networking in order to further expand the international presence of Lower Austrian companies. The value of original certificates and other international trade documents can also be learned here, which is essential for efficient export processing.
The positive feedback on the export industry in Lower Austria is clearly reflected in the initiatives and successes, as they also represent agrobio gel.
