New wind in St. Pölten: Party well started
p Artyia in the St. Pölten district are busy preparing for the upcoming elections that take place on January 26th. Although the city of St. Pölten is only allowed to vote again in 2026, the political events in the region are already in full swing.
In particular, the ÖVP has got to work and wants to compete in most communities with strong, motivated teams. Simon Obermayer, the district manager of the ÖVP, emphasized that the party compiled its best candidates in all communities. "Our mayors and community party managers are putting their lists together with the best candidates. This time again they were able to win committed people from all areas for their communities," said Obermayer in an interview with the NÖN.
re -establishment of the party "good"
An exciting new element in political competition is the newly founded party "good". This first appeared publicly in the "Black Bär" inn, and several of their members, including Lukas and Rudolf Ameisbichler and moderator Andreas Pepeunig, were present. Those present emphasized the importance of a fresh political voice in the district and their motivation to start the election campaigns.
How political competition will develop remains to be seen. The ÖVP seems well positioned, but with new parties such as "good" there could be mixed election results. The preparations of the parties are being pursued with excitement, while voters are waiting for which teams and ideas are integrated into the election campaign.
