Digitalks on tour: Artificial intelligence changes Lower Austria's economy

Yesterday a remarkable event took place in the Julius-Raab hall of the WiFi St. Pölten. The event series "Digitalks on Tour" attracted around 130 participants: inside from the corporate world who wanted to find out about the possible uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Lower Austrian economy. The organization was in the hands of the State of Lower Austria, the Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce and the House of Digitization. The topics and practical insights provided great encouragement and interest.

The event primarily put the practice -oriented applications of AI in the foreground. Expert presented: Inside from various industries, vivid examples of how companies can work more efficiently through the use of AI. At the same time, Tomasz Zareba from AWS and Bernd Zimmermann from Microsoft illustrated, which can be made in modern work environments.

Another interesting contribution came from Erich Saggeder, who spoke of Google Austria and, together with Romana Aumer von A1, presented applications in customer communication and analysis. The companies also received information about the newly founded AI Academy, which was presented by Michael Zobl from WiFi NÖ and is dedicated to special training in this advanced area. The high number of participants and the lively interest testify to the meaning that the topic of AI has for local companies.

Lukas Reutterer and Claus Zeppelzauer, Managing Director of the House of Digitization, emphasized the need to recognize the opportunities and challenges in the field of AI at an early stage. They said: "Artificial intelligence will shape the corporate landscape even more in the future." In particular for small and medium-sized companies, Gernot Binder, the WKNÖ district manager of St. Pölten, sees an important way in this event series to get in touch with the world of AI.
