An evening with Freddie: Rudi Dolezal tells his stories in Scheibbs

The music of Freddie Mercury and the band Queen enjoyed great popularity in a recent summer musical in Amstetten and set a audience record. In this atmosphere full of nostalgia and joy, a special event will take place in the Scheibbs Kulturlokal "Scibbess - The Stadtcafe", which also deals with the remarkable figure of Freddie Mercury.

On October 11th at 7:30 p.m., the Vienna music video producer Rudi Dolezal will present a reading show from his book "My Friend Freddie Live". Dolezal, who worked together in his career with greats like Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, tells of his special relationship with Mercury. "I describe how I became Freddie from the long -haired hippie to the friend and body filmmaker," he explains, with which Dolezal offers insights into his unusual life.

DOLEZAL produced a total of 32 music videos for Queen and had a close connection to Mercury, who culminated in a last interview shortly before his death. The reading show will be a mixture of reading and video content, with some of the materials shown have so far been unpublished. "The audience can look forward to an emotional mountain and descent," notes Dolezal. "There are both humorous and moving episodes from Mercury's life."

Ernst and Ingrid Hödl, the operators of the city café, look forward to this special cultural evening and have come up with something unique. In cooperation with the North German group "Giants made of steel", a survival -sized sculpture by Freddie Mercury is presented in the restaurant. "It is simply exciting to receive Rudi Dolezal and see how he faces Freddie's sculpture," says Ingrid Hödl.

tickets are available in advance for 25 euros, whereby the box office will only offer a few standing room. This evening not only becomes an experience for fans of the legendary band, but also a way to learn more about the eventful history of one of the greatest voices in music history.
