25 years of Caritas: Ceremony of the nursing heroes in Scheibbs

In the ballroom of the Scheibbs town hall, a ceremonial event was recently held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Caritas social station. Here the commitment was recognized by 21 employees, who are characterized by over 1,000 hours per month. In 2023, these specialists looked after a total of 99 clients and completed 12,885 hours of use, while lying almost 159,000 kilometers for home visits. Their area of application extends over the municipalities of Scheibbs, St. Anton, Gaming, Puchenstuben and Frankenfels. 

At the anniversary celebration, many guests of honor also came together, including Mayor Franz Aigner and District Headman Manuel Höfer. This meeting offered an occasion to look back on the valuable work of the team and the cooperation with regional medical facilities such as the State Clinic Scheibbs.

Gerlinde Resl, the management of the social center, described her team visually as "a tree with strong branches and always new drives". This comparison illustrates the dynamics and the team spirit behind professional care. Diplomated health and nursing assistants and home helpers contribute to the success of this work, who make sure that older people can grow old in their own four walls.

"As head of operations, I would also like to thank the good cooperation with the State Clinic Scheibbs," said Resl. It emphasized the importance of cooperation with the general practitioners from Gaming, St. Anton/Yessnitz, Puchenstuben and Frankenfels, which is crucial for high -quality care. "You are always as good as your team," she emphasized, which underlines the strength of the community within the organization.

Another highlight of the celebration was the musical framework by an ensemble that played under the direction of Elfriede Rabl. The group, consisting of seniors, delighted those present with their music program and created a pleasant atmosphere. It is particularly noteworthy that the musicians have been together for 13 years, which gives the performance a special touch.

Manuela Klopf, the new Caritas regional manager for Mostviertel East, congratulated the anniversary and spoke about the central importance of sensitive support and care. "The care in your own four walls stabilizes and promotes health," said Klopf, and emphasized that the well-being of the clients can be significantly increased by the activities of the nursing team.
