Refurbished and safe: Großkadolz gets new main street for 225,000 euros!
Großkadolz, Österreich - The passing through the town of Großkadolz, a crucial traffic axis, receives a comprehensive update. The approximately 60 -year -old street construction was not only out of date, but also badly damaged. Therefore, the Lower Austrian road service and the market town of Seefeld-Kadolz have decided to redesign the "main street" over a total length of around 730 meters. For the first construction phase alone, which is now officially completed, 225,000 euros were invested, of which 85,000 euros come from the state of Lower Austria and 140,000 euros from the market town, such as noe.gv.at reports.
In the first construction phase of around 180 meters, the entire street construction was renewed, including deep renovations and the new road surface. The lane of the state road L 3 is now six meters wide and corresponds to today's traffic standards. On both sides, sidewalks and parking spaces were reorganized, and two bus stops were also modernized. The design in the area of elementary school is particularly noticeable: the road was narrowed to five meters to reduce speed and thus increase security. Due to the new elements, vehicle drivers no longer only experience a straight road, but a more structured place, which indicates the changes in traffic routing. The other construction phases will be completed in the years 2024 to 2026, as Noen.at
