Mega-Waschpark in Torgau: Start delays, plans remain!

Torgau. In spring, the plans for a new washing park on Dommitzscher Straße were specified. Entrepreneur Murat Kök, who comes from Neunkirchen in Bavaria, wanted to invest 1.5 million euros in Torgau. The 29-year-old, who already operates a car dealership with a car wash, saw a way to expand his business here. "The property prices are very high in Bavaria. Therefore, I searched for suitable areas in the east and selected Torgau because there is still no washing park," he said.

So far, however, progress has remained behind expectations. Despite the purchase of a 6000 square meter property and the building permit granted for May, not much has changed at the construction site. Instead, trees are lying on the edges of the area, and the once marked areas for the washing park are hardly recognizable.

changes led to delays

The delays are due to the need to move a bus stop near the planned entrance of the washing park. "It took longer than expected. Only at the end of July everything was clarified," said Kök. Now the companies he commissioned, which were originally planned for an early start, have to wait until this time can find this time in their calendar.

Despite all the obstacles, Kök remains optimistic. He hopes to start construction late in the late winter in order to be able to start with excavation and civil engineering work. Regional companies should also be involved in the project. This primarily affects electrical and sanitary installations, in which he takes local companies into account. He not only wants to support the region's economy, but also ensure that the construction work runs smoothly.

planned equipment of the washing park

This new washing park aims not only to clean conventional cars, but also larger vehicles such as motorhomes and vans. The investment amount of 1.5 million euros will flow into the property purchase, the construction of the park and the technical equipment. The planned system will be equipped with modern cleaning systems, among other things with portal and steam beam places to meet the different requirements of vehicle maintenance.

Kök was confident that the construction work will be completed by the end of September 2025. He plans a facility that is tailored to the needs of customers and is supposed to boost the regional economy.
