Gala highlight: Günter Rohrbach Film Award attracts stars to Neunkirchen!

Neue Gebläsehalle, 66538 Neunkirchen, Deutschland - Neunkirchen will become the stronghold of German film on Friday, November 8th! From 8 p.m., the new blower hall is transformed into a glamorous event location for the 14th awarding of the Günter Rohrbach Film Award. Prominent stars and asterisks of the film industry are expected, including the celebrated actress and jury chairman Maria Schrader, as well as well-known faces such as Liv Lisa Fries, Lisa Bitter, Emma Bading and Katja Sallay. The gentlemen of creation, Mišel Matičević and Peter Lohmeyer, will also enter the stage. The directors Marc Brummund and Andreas Dresen as well as the screenwriters İlker Çatak and Johannes Duncker are also part of the game. And not to forget: Dr. Günter Rohrbach, the namesake of the price and honorary citizen of Neunkirchen, will also be present!

The tension increases!

The eyes are aimed at the jury, which will decide which of the four finalist films can take home the prestigious price of 10,000 euros. The nominees are "a man in his class" by Marc Brummund, "In love, your Hilde" by Andreas Dresen, "Rickerl - Music is at most a hobby" by Adrian Goiginger and "Burned Earth" by Thomas Arslan. Who will take the race and secure the title?

Already on Thursday, November 7th, the last finalist film "A man in his class" will be presented in the Stumm Riding Hall from 6 p.m. Afterwards, the coveted script price is awarded to four talented winners, an award that has been awarded since 2021 in cooperation with the Association for Film and Television Dramaturgy (Vedra) and the Master School Script Berlin. Entry to the award ceremony is free of charge, supported by the Saarland Chamber of Labor. Be there when the film world comes together in Neunkirchen!
