New walking and cycle path in Götzendorf: safe and modern for everyone!

In the market town of Götzendorf an der Leitha, the expansion of the cycle and sidewalks is progressing quickly. National Councilor Werner Herbert, Member of the Landtag Otto Auer, Mayor Kurt Wimmer and DI Dr. Michael Platzer from the Lower Austria Straßendienst got an impression of the construction progress. The new connection from the sports field to Mannersdorfer Straße includes an impressive bridge of about twelve meters, which now facilitates the crossing of the Leithakanal. This new building ensures that the sports field can be achieved barrier-free, which is particularly important for cyclists, such as reported.

The entire walking and bike path extends over 580 meters and was equipped with a width of three meters and an additional banquet up to 0.5 meters. This project has a budget of around 500,000 euros, of which 70 percent are financed by the state of Lower Austria in combination with Klimaactive. Mobil and 30 percent by the Götzendorf market town. The work is carried out by the Swietelsky company and will be completed in the near future, depending on the weather conditions, as well as ots.at .
