Literature competition: Young authors write about freedom and school

The renowned Walther from the Vogelweide literature competition is in full swing and attracts numerous young talents who are devoted to this year's motto "freedom". "The echo is very positive," says Margareta Divjak-Mirwald, one of the organizers. This event has developed to a fixed size, with the first contacts to the competition, especially through schools. The focus is on the promotion of young writers who want to impress with their creative texts, reports noen.at .

Important information on the competition

For the 2024 competition, clear conditions of participation were determined. Each participant may only submit a text contribution that may include a maximum of six A4 pages. The texts must be submitted by March 17, 2024 at the latest, and the award ceremony will take place on June 17, 2024 in the Museum of the City of Mödling. It is important to note that the topic for 2024 is "school", however, the term must not occur in the title of the work, as it is explained on the official website of the competition, such as "https://www.literatur-wettb-moedling.at/wettbreuB2024.html"> Literature competition-moedling.at

The young authors have to submit their texts as a Word document and can also submit foreign language texts, whereby only the German version is evaluated. The organizers emphasize that the rights to the texts remain with the author and that no financial claims are made for any printing. For the participants from the 2010–2013 years, it is necessary to submit a declaration of consent from the legal guardians to ensure that all legal bases are taken into account.
