Regional festival in the Himmelkeller: A colorful festival for young and old

On the first weekend in October, the Wolkersdorf region experienced a very special event: the traditional regional festival in the Himmelkeller. In wonderful autumn weather, numerous visitors came to Kronberg to enjoy a diverse festival of regional culture.

The Himmelkeller offered a picturesque backdrop in which local exhibitors presented their best products. From delicious honey and exquisite saffron articles to artistic woodwork and after lovingly designed flower arrangements, there was something for everyone. The alpaca wool products and the impressive pumpkins also caught the eye. New this year was an information stand by the libraries in the region, which brought the guests closer to the interests and offers. A special highlight was the wine bar, in which the regional mayors offered a selection of regional wines for tasting.

commitment to the Red Cross

The regional chairman and mayor of Wolkersdorf, Litzka, was on site together with his counterpart from Hochleithen, Großebersdorf, Kuttal, Pillichsdorf and Ulrichskirchen-Schleinbach. They were all involved in donating the pure proceeds from the "Mayor-Weinbar" in favor of the Kreuzstetten and Wolkersdorf local offices of the Red Cross. So not only a nice party was celebrated, but also an important social contribution.

The supporting program also left nothing to be desired. In addition to the possibility of creating insect hotels, children enjoyed further activities such as the garage cinema, can shooting and an exciting puzzle rally. The painting of pumpkins and the children's basket braids were also big hits with the little guests.

The gastronomic selection was simply a pleasure. Regional providers spoiled the palate with all kinds of delicacies, including storms, wine, regional beer and delicious juices from apricots and grapes. The sweet treats also provided satisfied faces. In addition, guided tours by the Hermann Bauch Museum were offered that met with great interest.

The musical accompaniment of the festival was taken over by the Obersdorf quartet "de Gmiaste 1/8 brass". With their entertaining program, they contributed to the festive atmosphere and ensured that the atmosphere was both relaxed and lively.
