Fire and ice: Mistelbach's festivities illuminate the Advent

Mistelbach. This year's ice magic started in front of the town hall with a spectacular fire show and attracted numerous visitors. The mayor Erich Stubenvoll emphasized that the newly created plastic ice rink would not only promote sporting, especially for children, but also represents a meeting point for the community in the festively decorated Adventdorf. "Many parents appreciate the free offer in the center," says Lena Sattmann from the city marketing Mistelbach, the emphasized how much effort was put into creating a Christmas atmosphere.

The ice rink, a real highlight for the region, also includes cozy huts, where visitors can enjoy warm drinks and snacks. The state parliament member Kurt Hackl is also enthusiastic about this new attraction. Another event as part of the city marketing was the final drawing of the gift box campaign, which ran over 12 months and in which 15 other winners were selected from over 8000 invoices.

On the ice rink, PVC panels will be run again this year. This energy -related variant does not require the traditional, energy -intensive ice unit. This surface offers a larger slide resistance and is therefore ideal for beginners.

New this year is the possibility of ice stick shooting that is offered under the guidance of the European champion Sabrina Pozarek . In cooperation with the Sportunion Stockschützen Mistelbach, interested parties can try out their skills in ice stick shooting every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m.

A special highlight for the little visitors is the children's silvester, which has been a great success for a few years in a row. On this day the ice magic will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
