NMS Loosdorf: Students show great solidarity for Alina

This summer, the NMS Loosdorf was not only a place of learning, but also of compassion and commitment. Driven by a remarkable project entitled "Stark for Alina", the students merged to help a former classmate who suffers from an autoimmune disease.

Alina, only 14 years old, is dependent on an electric wheelchair. In mid -June, the students organized a benefit event to help their family to make the apartment barrier -free. This initiative collected money to provide Alina and her family the necessary support. The jurors of the “School Network Sustainability” initiative were so impressed by this mission that they awarded the project to first place.

recognition for social responsibility

"Of course we are very happy about the price. This is a nice recognition for the work that the students have done," said the director of the NMS Loosdorf, Silvia Guckler, proud of the honor.

The "school network sustainability" is an initiative of the Ypertal Education Campus, which supports projects that are in line with the "Sustainable Development Goals" established by the UN. With its social project, the NMS Loosdorf not only showed how important solidarity is, but also that schools can play a central role in promoting responsibility and helpfulness.

The jury particularly emphasized the mobilization of the entire school community, which actively participated in the benefit event. The success of the project illustrates how students can pull together in order to make their community a positive difference.

With this award, the use of the pupils who have contributed to improving the life of a classmate and giving her environment a valuable example of social responsibility are recognized with their creativity and commitment.
