Terrible night in Annaberg: The Alois Huber case and his deeds
In the night of September 16, 2013 there was a tragic incident in Annaberg to keep the region in suspense. Alois Huber, a 55-year-old haulier, was in his dark green Hilux when the police set up a roadblock. Instead of keeping it, accelerated Huber and rammed a patrol car before he got off the road and left his vehicle.
The night there was a night and rain fell in pouring, which means that the view for the officials was severely restricted. If they expected Huber to flee, their assumption was quickly refuted: he hid and opened the fire to the police with a assault rifle whose origin remained unclear. The weapon was later classified as illegally and classified as war material.
a bloodbath in the dark
Roman Baumgartner, a Cobra official, was first hit and succumbed to his injuries a short time later. Huber then fled to a nearby sawmill. When an ambulance arrived, another fatal shot followed. Huber aimed at the paramedic Johann Dorfwirth and met him fatally through the windshield of the vehicle. Visibly unpredictable, Huber took the life of two other police officers who were in a patrol car. The police Johann Ecker and Manfred Daurer were victims of his killing spree.
After the brutal act, Huber continued his escape and reached his property in Großpriel. Here he is entrenched while an extensive police officer and special units from all over Austria were alerted. Even the army was used to control the situation. It was a tumulty use that lasted around the clock.
The officials finally found a hidden space within Huber's estate, where he had hidden and tried to set fire to set fire. The assignment lasted over 24 hours and ended tragically when Huber himself committed life. During the search of his house, the investigators discovered around 300 long weapons and numerous hunting trophies, the procurement of which was illegal. The amount of the total damage, should one believe the numerous crimes in Huber, was enormous with 10 million euros.
his level of awareness in the area as a helpful and unobtrusive person stood in a strong contrast to the terrible deeds for which he was responsible. Before his suicide, he had called his best friend to say goodbye. Tragically, all of his victims were married and had children. This series of events left not only in Annaberg, but also a lasting impression of brutality in all of Austria, which became visible during this tragic incident.
