Successful BIL: Apprenticeship exchange connects pupils and companies in Lilienfeld
The professional information fair (BIL) recently took place in Lilienfeld, which is an important platform for companies and students. Since its foundation in 2003, the fair has been a central part of the cooperation between business, schools and the Chamber of Commerce. This year the event was organized for the third time by the WKNÖ district office Lilienfeld.
The fair attracted a wide audience, especially students: inside the 3rd and 4th classes of middle schools and polytechnic schools. These had the opportunity to speak directly to the regional companies trainers and to collect information about various apprenticeships. In his opening speech, WKNÖ Vice President Christian Moser emphasized how important it is to recognize the diversity of the training opportunities and to actively discover them.
Various offers for students: inside
The Bil showed an impressive number of visitors this year: around 350 students: inside of eight schools, about 50 parents and more than 500 interested guests. 66 Exhibitors: Inside, the chance used to present their professions. The visitors: inside could take part in 17 active workshops and experience various professions up close. The range of professions offered ranged from construction, carpentry and painting to gastronomy to fitness and hairdresser.
In addition, the students had the opportunity to take part in workshops that covered topics such as application, financial management as well as educational and online offers. Due to the great interest, the exhibition area was distributed on three levels: from the cellarium to the refectory to the dormitorium and prelate courtyard. WKNÖ district office chairman Markus Leopold emphasized the importance of the fair, since it acts as a bridge between the youth and the company and thus contributes decisively to professional orientation in the region.
The event is recognized as a showcase project in professional orientation, which not only shows professional opportunities, but also arouses the interest of young people in a wide variety of training opportunities. The BIL has thus established itself as an important part of the regional economy by bringing together the diversity of professions and the needs of young people.
