Professional information fair Lilienfeld: Future opportunities for young talents

The professional information fair in the Lilienfeld Abbey has once again established itself as an important event that brings youth and business together. Last weekend the fair attracted numerous visitors. This has been an important platform since 2003, which is organized annually by the WKNÖ district office in Lilienfeld to promote cooperation between school and business.

This year 66 exhibitors presented themselves and enabled more than 350 students from eight schools to gain insights into different apprenticeships. Parents and other interested parties were also welcome, which led to a total number of over 500 visitors. This event is not only an opportunity to get to know potential employers, but also offers practical experiences in 17 active workshops where the participants could lend a hand.

career opportunities for the youth

WKNÖ district position chairman Markus Leopold emphasized the relevance of such events for the regional economy: "The BIL brings together company and youth-that is, career opportunities and career." This direct connection between training providers and young people is crucial to make it easier to get started and give orientation.

The variety of professions offered was particularly emphasized. The students can find out more in areas such as construction, carpentry, painting, gastronomy, fitness and hairdresser. Special workshops also expanded the offer. "The world of training and professions is much more colorful when we generally imagine it. It is diverse, varied and exciting-and it is worth discovering," said WKNÖ Vice President Christian Moser in his opening speech. This message encourages young people to deal intensively with their interests and talents.

The fair not only offers a variety of apprenticeships, but also the opportunity to gain practical experience and make contacts. The students' interest shows that the event will continue to play an important role in career choice and training orientation in the future. With so many options that need to be explored, the event will also act as an indispensable hub within the region in the coming years. Further details about the trade fair and the professions presented are in an article on www.noen.at to be found.
