New creative rooms for clients: day care center of the disabled help Korneuburg

A new chapter in the disabled help is opened in Korneuburg. After the positive development of the café and sales shop "Bunte Bohne" at Bisamberger Straße 2, the Disabled Aid district of Korneuburg plans to expand its offers. At a neighboring location in house number 6, the preparations for a day care center are in full swing.

The first public announcement of the project took place during the vernissage of the exhibition "Personal Perspectives". The aim of this new day care center is to promote creative and craft skills of the clients. It will include both a studio as well as a baked workshop and a sales area.

New offer for creative minds

The studio will serve the clients as a space to try out different art forms. "Everyone can develop their talents here and express themselves creatively," explains location manager René Schießbühl. Next door is baked not only for your own sale in the baking workshop, but also to order. This is intended to help the participants develop their skills in baking art and offer delicious products.

Another part of the new day care center will be the sales room in which the products of the creative workshops are presented. "It is important to us to make the diverse talents of our clients visible," continued Schießbühl. The positive reception of the previous activities encouraged the participants to advance with this project.

The renovation is scheduled to begin in the coming months, with an opening in January 2025, d. h. in emergency storage spaces and storage rooms where future offers are being worked on. Korneuburg should continue to develop into an important location for childcare offers, which could lead to more visibility and a better understanding in society.

economic support from the sport

To finance the new day care center, an amount of 1,250 euros was collected. At the running event "Backyard Ultra Korneuburg", which took place in early August, numerous participants gained funds who are now supporting the construction of the day care center. The check handover recently took place in the rooms of the day care center that have not yet been opened. René Schießbühl, Peter Gregorc from the "constantly discover Podcast" and Karin Kalcher, the spokeswoman for the disabled help, were present and were pleased with the donations collected.

The establishment of this day care center is not only a further step to promote the creativity and quality of life of the clients, but also a clear indication of the commitment of the community to reduce barriers and to focus on the needs of people with disabilities.
