The price for the pupils of the 4A is an exciting experience on the Heldenberg near Hollabrunn. Project manager Eva Zuser from the climate alliance emphasized that the support of local sponsors and committed teachers was decisive in order to successfully implement the project under the circumstances.
Details on the competition
The focus of the competition is on the promotion of climate -friendly mobility, especially for fifth to eighth school levels. You collect points for climate -friendly way to school, for example by foregoing the car. The aim is to get from different locations to St. Pölten as quickly as possible in a virtual game. This should not only raise awareness of the environment, but also reduce traffic loads around the schools. In addition, the participants are given the opportunity to get to know their region better.
The climate alliance is the largest European network for climate protection and pursues the goal of tackling global challenges locally. It has been working with communities and educational institutions since 1990 to make an active contribution to maintaining the environment. In Austria there are over 3,800 organizations, including around 300 educational institutions in Lower Austria, part of this network.
