ATM blast in Wels: Fat prey and high damage to property!

In the night of Monday, a spectacular series of ATM sprinkles occurred in Austria that the police put on alert. In a shopping center in Wels, two ATMs were hunted up at 2:25 a.m. The perpetrators are fleeting and it is still unclear how much cash they could capture. The frequency of such acts has been increasing lately. According to the Federal Criminal Police Office, 13 ATM blasting nationwide, both completed and tried, were counted nationwide. There are already 14 explosions this year, and since September 2024 there have been seven such incidents in Vienna alone. Similar actions were recently observed in Korneuburg and the Danube city, where the explosive attempts were not always successful.
