Christmas joy for the needy: Take part in the desired action in Erwitte!

In Erwitte is a special initiative in the starting blocks that could make Christmas a little brighter for many people in the region. The popular Christmas tree desire is returning this year and is organized by the voluntary initiative "Erwitte helps" in cooperation with Caritas and the city of Erwitte. The aim is to fulfill financially weak families a Christmas wish and to give them a pleasure.

The action works very simply: Pendants hang on the decorated Christmas trees, each of which displays the desire, gender and age of the recipient. In this way, donors are invited to meet these needs. The idea behind it is that all participants remain anonymous; Both those who give away something and those who are given. This ensures that the gesture appears even more personal and warm.

everyone can help

The Christmas tree wish campaign is not only an opportunity for the residents to do something good, but also a way to promote a sense of community. All citizens of the city are invited to participate by taking a trailer from one of the Christmas trees. These are in selected locations:

  • City Hall of the city of Erwitte
  • Marienhospital Erwitte
  • Sparkasse Erwitte
  • Hellweg Sole Therme
  • Catholic parish churches in Horn, Erwitte and Bad Westernkotten
  • elli Markt
  • marx economy
  • Rewe market boys in Bad Westernkotten

Everyone who takes a trailer is asked to get a gift worth 20 to 30 euros and to give it up with the trailer by December 17, 2024 in the town hall, in Hellweg Sole Therme or at the Marx economy. It is a way to put a smile on the face of others and make the Christmas season a festive experience for everyone.

The meaning of this action lies not only in giving itself, but also in the community that forms. By helping others, you strengthen the coexistence and contribute to Christmas for everyone.
