In the first half of the concert, Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dances No. 5 and 6 ”provided classic delights. Uta Obermeier explained that these pieces had created some nervousness among the musicians, but the audience was enthusiastic and rewarded the performance with thunderous applause. Lothar Tarnow, the conductor, had also decided to put various groups of instruments in the spotlight, which impressively brought into its own diversity of the orchestra.

A special highlight was the unexpected appearance of an alphorn, which was presented by Regine Tarnow. She kidnapped the audience with "Amazing Grace" and then surprised with a lively dixing hythm at "Swiss Lady", which caused excitement and cheers.

In the midst of such musical diversity, the soloists' voices also blossomed. Kimberly Moor and Jörg Wagowske demonstrated their singing talent in atmospheric duets and, with their interpretation of "Heast as Net", provide melancholic and hopeful moments. Moor also delighted with "Gabriellas Sang" from the film "As in Heaven" and even sang in Swedish, which the audience touched deeply.

The audience sang, clapped and danced to hits from Udo Jürgens, Abba and many others, and all of this under the happy influence of the Vahlhauser musicians.

One of the most amusing deposits came in the form of a surprising appearance by Gabi Finachmeier, who stepped on stage in a traditional housewives and with a washboard. With a humorous performance of the "Washboard King" she not only kept the audience in suspense, but also pulled the conductor Lothar Tarnow to a spontaneous dance performance, which made the entire audience laugh.

The atmosphere in the Kurtheater was so lively that at the end of the program the guests demanded encores and the ensemble with frenetic applause and jubileearies of more than three hours passed.
