Insights into everyday work: Open day at Caritas Horn
in Horn there was recently a special day that offered insights into the valuable work of the Caritas workshop. At an open door event, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the everyday life of people with intellectual disabilities. Workshop manager Elfriede Steiner expressed her joy in making the workshop accessible to the public again.
The event was a complete success. A total of 51 people who are helped in the workshop and ten accompanying goods actively participate in presenting their activities. This not only gave the relatives and interested guests the opportunity to find out about the work in the workshop, but also to see how much fun the clients have at work

The open day offered numerous activities and demonstrations. Visitors were able to experience the various projects and work steps that are carried out in the workshop. From creative handicrafts to practical tasks that help clients develop skills and gain self -confidence, there was something for everyone.
The interactions between clients and visitors were particularly formative. It was evident that the interaction brought a lot of fun and was an enriching experience for everyone.
