Christmas miracle on the mountain: missing skiers found well!
A 19-year-old man from Hollabrunn caused excitement on the first Christmas day at Schladminger Planai when he was missing after an après ski day. The young man celebrated with his five friends on a hut at 1,800 meters when he suddenly disappeared around 5 p.m. The friends alerted the police at 6.30 p.m. after they were unsuccessful for him. A large -scale search was quickly started, in the mountain rescue, the police and even a thermal drone of the Austrian Red Cross were involved. The temperatures were below freezing and the missing person was insufficiently dressed, which made a rapid rescue necessary. This dramatic phrase was first reported by meinbezirk.at
around 8.30 p.m. the redeeming news came: a slope device driver discovered the missing young man about a kilometer from the hut, where he fell asleep in the snow. Fortunately, despite the bitter cold, he was unharmed, but he was very cooled. The mountain rescue took care of his medical care and transferred him to the DKH Schladming for further treatment. This incredible rescue on such a special day reminded many of a true Christmas miracle, as was addressed in another report by Nön.at.
In addition, the cultural aspects were discussed in Hollabrunn, where the veteran of the cultural scene, Gerhard Hofbauer, was celebrated in 2018 for his role in the musical "The Man of La Mancha". His recently published book "I would have loved to experience less ..." shows his personal experiences and gives insights into the valuable moments of his career. This cultural context is emphasized as part of the special Christmas story in the region and shows that extraordinary experiences occur not only in nature. Details about this were provided by Noen.at
