Leyrer + Graf: award for innovative sustainable building documentation
in the world of construction industry, Leyrer + Graf not only establishes itself as a company, but also as a pioneer in terms of sustainability and digitization. The construction company was recently awarded the prestigious “LSZ Green Business Award”, an honor that underlines its proven pioneering role in these areas.
The award ceremony took place in Bad Loipersdorf during the CIO Congress 2024, an event that illuminates the latest trends in IT and digitization. Here, key players in the industry met to exchange ideas and strategies. The nomination of Leyrer + Graf attracted special attention, whose project "digital and networked building documentation" was included in the closer selection. David Rott, head of the "Green Construction" department, presented the company's vision for a sustainable construction site in front of an audience of around 450 experts.
Innovative software for better construction practice
One of the central components of Leyrer + Graf's approach is the company's own software "Workbook". This was specially developed to increase efficiency and transparency on construction sites. Rott emphasized that the challenges in the construction industry, such as the lack of automated data recording, are serious hurdles for sustainability reporting.
The use of "Workbook" can be recorded daily resource consumption. This not only leads to improved data transparency, but also enables an automatic calculation of the CO₂ footprint and its reduction. More than 70 percent of employees are already using this software, which demonstrates the continuous integration of sustainable practices into the company's everyday work.
In a time when the circular economy is becoming increasingly important, the software also offers solutions for the recording of resource surplus and needs. The mobile app enables the teams to document data on site, which increases efficiency and improves cooperation.
The project for digital construction documentation has convinced both the jury and the participants of the congress and was appointed winner of the award. Stefan Graf, CEO von Leyrer + Graf, expressed his gratitude: "This award confirms our strategy to combine ecological, social and economic aspects, and motivates us to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future." The award is not only a success for Leyrer + Graf, but also a step towards a more sustainable construction industry.
The implementation of sustainability in the core processes of a construction company is groundbreaking and sets new standards for the entire industry. This is also illustrated by developments at Leyrer + Graf. Further information on these topics can be found in a detailed report www.meinbezirk.at .
