50 years of Musikschule Hollabrunn: A new location for creative future
The Musik- und Kunstschule Hollabrunn recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and showed its best side. With great enthusiasm and a festive setting, those present committed this milestone in the history of the facility, which has now accepted a new location on the school campus. "Without music, everything would be nothing," Vice Mayor Kornelius Schneider quoted the composer Mozart at the beginning of the celebrations.
keynote speaker and director of the school, Martin Haslinger, recalled the beginnings of the music school and told anecdotes who shaped the way to today's institution. The challenges that were founded at the foundation - such as an unexpectedly high number of registrations that exceeded the resources available at the time - were mastered with a creative “Plan B”. Thanks to the support of the then State Council Erwin Pröll, the music school was ultimately financed.
growth and development
Director Haslinger emphasized the significant progress that goes hand in hand with the new location. The music and art school currently teaches 1100 students and employs 43 teachers at eight different locations. The facility has also achieved public law, which means that certificates for the three areas offered - music, dance and drama - can now also be issued.
Mayor Alfred Babinsky emphasized that a successful institution had to offer space for experiments and innovations. This openness, paired with the new, expanded offer, suggests an exciting future for the music school. Teachers of the facility demonstrated their musical diversity by presenting a program that ranged from a specially composed festival fanfare to the masters Haydn and Dvořák.
insight into the new premises
It was also possible for the guests to visit the new, light -flooded rooms of the school. These modern premises offer plenty of space for creative activities and thus promote artistic work. Director Martin Haslinger led interested visitors through the open spaces and presented the possibilities that they offer for learning and artistic development.
The celebrations Finally, the students of the music school showed their skills with a performance by the drum group "Hollabumm", which made the hall shake. These performances caused enthusiasm and showed the commitment and passion of students and teachers for the music.
