Ebenfurth, Österreich - A struggling dispute over a property at Lake Haschendorfer in Lower Austria unfolds after Otto Jezek claimed in an interview that the municipality of Ebenfurth faulted its property boundaries in 1972. Jezek, who originally leased and bought the property later, found that a triangular part of his property actually belongs to its neighbor. This now demands 10,000 euros for the 18 square meters, which depending on the measurement should not be in Jezek's possession. But Jezek is hardly beaten and refuses to pay for a mistake that the community caused, as he emphasizes: "I did not make any mistakes".

The situation continues to escalate because the community informed him that he should tear down his house. In advance, the case was already a topic in the ORF program "Citizens' Property", where the problem of incorrect measurement was scandalized. However, the state administrative court decided in favor of Jezek and made it clear that the decision was not legal because the approval of its construction was based on the then recognized natural borders. But the community seems determined not to deal with the court decision and still sees many unexplained questions, as the spokeswoman explained.
