Inmaid escapes from Wiener Neustadt: Fahnung to Rammbock boss!

In a dramatic incident, a 29-year-old prisoner from the Wiener Neustadt prison was escaped on Monday. According to the police, it is the alleged leader of the notorious "Rammbock" gang, which has been held responsible for various jewelry and burglary thefts in the past, including raids in the Shopping City Süd and in the Vienna Danube Center. The circumstances of his escape are still unclear. A large-scale search was initiated within a very short time, in which 13 patrol cars and police dogs were used, but without success, such as Sn.at reported.

The police were informed shortly before 8 a.m. and was immediately in action. Police spokesman Stefan Loidl said that the background of the flight is thoroughly examined. The prisoner is part of a group that was involved in burglary thefts and a boom of ATM in the Gänserndorf district in 2023 and seems to be internationally active. Three Dutch accomplices were previously sentenced to prison sentences between 20 months and 9 years, while a Bulgarian accomplice received a non -final penalty of 30 months, of which 20 months are due. These incidents arouse a significant security interest, not least because of the criminal past of the group, such as Kleinezeitung.at
