Mayor praises emergency services after dramatic September
A big thank you in Gänserndorf was recently organized to thank the emergency services for their tireless efforts. Mayor René Lobner emphasized the challenges that September brought with him, in particular through devastating forest and corridors as well as flood events. Lobner was geared to the approximately 350 emergency services present and expressed his gratitude that they could prevent greater damage to the municipality.
"Every cent is well invested in our security," said Lobner, while addressing the unpredictable weather and the associated operations. Claudia Pfeiler-Blach, new district chief since June, had to act on site at the first assignment, the dam break.
