The University Hospital Krems recently ceremoniously opened its new pathology building. This marks an important milestone in the current construction projects of the clinic.

"To put on the best minds and offer our patients the most innovative therapies, it is important to provide modern jobs. The new building of the Institute for Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology meets these requirements," emphasizes State Councilor Ludwig Schleritzko.

The impressive new pathology building has 59,500 meters of cable and 13,000 meters of data lines. State -of -the -art jobs are available on a total of 850 square meters. The official opening took place on October 3, 2024 and was celebrated with a ceremonial event, at the State Councilor Ludwig Schleritzko, Managing Director Franz Laback and the head of the institute, Primaria Melitta Kitzwögerer.

The employees of the pathology were largely involved in the planning of the building to ensure that all needs and requirements are met. The establishment of the workplaces was selected in accordance with the high standards for pathological diagnostics.
