Success for our elementary school students: promotion to the state finals of the Sumsi Cup!

An exciting football weekend is behind the talented students of the elementary schools in Lower Austria. The Sumsi Erima Kids Hallencup took place in Angern this year and was the first district tournament for primary schools throughout the state. Eight teams from various schools, including the Vistersdorf elementary school, competed against each other, organized by Matthias Götz. This tournament was an exciting football season and offered the young kickers a platform to show their skills.

The sensational performance of the boys from one of the participating schools caused a sensation. This year, impressive 327 elementary schools took part in the competition, and now they are among the best in the federal state. With a convincing 3-0 in the semi -finals against the district colleagues from Rehberg, they demonstrated their irrepressible will to win.

The dream of the daily victory, however, had to be buried in 7-meter shooting against the Eggenburg elementary school. After a goalless game in the regular season, the decision was made in the fifth shot, which catapulted the boys in second place in the Waldviertel regional final. All of this now leads to a big highlight: the state finals on June 19, 2024 in Scheiblingkirchen. The entire team, under the guidance of her trainer Anton Zöhrer, drew attention to himself with extraordinary cohesion and team spirit.
