Two slovaks caught in car burglaries-16 acts enlightened

A investigative group of the Lassee police inspection has successfully caught two men who are responsible for a series of burglaries into parked cars. This clarification refers to a total of 16 car collapsation thieves, which were committed in the districts of Gänserndorf and Bruck an der Leitha and caused an estimated total damage of around 20,000 euros.

The case began on September 19, 2024, when a 30-year-old German discovered a sloped side window on her rental car. She alerted the lack of personal objects and she promptly informed the police. By describing a suspicious vehicle that was spotted nearby, the officials of the Regelsbrunn police inspection were able to act quickly and stop the car in the local area of Regelsbrunn.

When checking the vehicle, not only the stolen objects, but also tools, were found that are typically used for car burglaries. These contained key blanks, a fault transmitter, bolt cutters and various pliers. The two accused, a 49-year-old and a 72-year-old Slovak citizen, were temporarily arrested and handed over to the Korneuburg public prosecutor.

The incoming investigation showed that the accused apparently specifically visited parking spaces of sights in order to select potential goals. They may have entered the vehicles in different ways, especially to steal valuable electronic devices. During the interrogations, the men refused to provide information and remained reserved in their testimony.
