24 hours in action: Experience the Fire Brigade Youth Wildung Wall up close
In Wildungen wall, nine excited young people from the fire brigade youth spent a very special 24-hour day in the fire station. They were prepared for the adventure by their dedicated supervisors Sandra Cibulka, Michael Bayer and exercise processor Stefan Ponath, which was characterized by the 24-hour promise. There was extensive opportunity to experience the challenges of a fire brigade member up close and to face a wide variety of missions.
The first big challenge came quickly after arriving in the fire station: During a short introduction, the alarm fell, which the youngsters crowded in the middle of theory. "B1 - Suspicion of the Danube" was the message, and Schwupps, the two vehicles went to the scene where they had to fight the fire with different extinguishing techniques.

Back in the fire station, the boys and girls awaited a cozy campfire in which stick bread and marshmallows were not to be missing. After an exciting evening with a fire brigade film, the night's sleep was not long -lasting. At two o'clock in the morning, the young people were torn from sleep for a "search for people in the fire station". Equipped with flashlights and a thermal imaging camera, it became an exciting adventure to find two missing people.
The next alarm followed in the morning after an extensive breakfast. It was a false alarm for a fire alarm system, which was important for young members because such alarms can often occur. The excitement among the young people was great when they were waiting for the next real effort after breakfast.

A game in the afternoon was suddenly interrupted: an alarm for an "animal rescue on the sports field" caused excitement. At the site in the sports field, a flamingo and a sloth had actually caught in a basketball basket. The fire brigade youth could only save the two animals with a skill together.
The day was coming to an end, and while the young people were still busy after lunch, the last planned commitment was made: a vehicle recovery with hydraulic rescue equipment, in which the young people were allowed to disassemble a car. But the highlight was an unexpected real use on the Danube. Despite the removed distance to your own section of the route, you got the unique chance of doing a round on the Danube with the fire brigade boat, which perfectly rounded off the day.
This day was an unforgettable experience for the young people, which was more than just fun. The radiant faces after the boat trip and the joy of the operations experienced made it clear that this 24-hour day was a complete success. The commitment of the supervisors and the cooperation among young people made this day something special.
