Lower Austria: 100 million euros for the e-charging infrastructure!

The progress in e-mobility in Lower Austria is impressive: In 2024, the EVN installed 500 new charging points, including numerous quick charging stations that offer an enormous relief for electric vehicles. This increases the total number of 3,000 charging points in the state, a clear sign of growing engagement in electromobility. With an enormous investment of 100 million euros in the infrastructure in the coming years, the EVN plans to further promote the use of electric cars. According to Roman Nowatschek, the department head for e-mobility, the new loading points can be strategically favored at shopping centers, traffic routes and local suppliers, which makes the use of electric vehicles even easier for the population, as well as EVN in their communication .
