Fire in Unterwaltersdorf: Neighbor saves family to facade fire!
In the early morning hours of February 10, 2025, more precisely around 5:30 a.m., the fire brigade in Unterwaltersdorf was alerted to a major operation. An attentive neighbor noticed a fire on the facade of a single -family house in Lindenallee and immediately notified the homeowner and the emergency services. As a result, a total of eight fire brigades, including the weirs from Unterwaltersdorf, Schranawand, Ebreichsdorf and Baden Stadt, moved out with around 90 firefighters to extinguish the fire, such as nön.at reported.
The fire was localized as a threshold in thermal insulation. It is believed that an electrical line has triggered the fire that spread unnoticed over several hours. The extinguishing work was particularly difficult because large parts of the facade had to be removed to reach the hidden fire spots. Fortunately, thanks to the quick actions of the neighbor, it remained without personal injury. The section fire brigade commander Alexander Richter said that the extinguishing work continued in the morning, while the police are now getting to the bottom of the cause of the fire, as well as nön.at reported.
