Art in the shop window: Discover interactive experiences in Amstetten

On Saturday, November 16, the association for promoting art and culture in rural areas goes into the fifth round with the opening of an interactive shop window exhibition in Amstetten. This is presented in the shop windows of the association and is accessible to the public until December 31, 2024.

The exhibition offers its visitors seven works of art from the course of “Time -based and Interactive Media Art” from the Linz University of Art, whereby the focus is on different media forms and human interaction. The installations take up central topics such as identity, technological developments and our relationship with nature. Visitors are invited to not only look at the works, but also to experience actively by exploring visual, auditory and tactile elements.

opening performance and artists' talks

A special highlight of the opening evening is the experimental audio-visual performance by Lynn Mayya, which connects sound and image and offers a hypnotic experience. That evening the artists have the opportunity to interact directly with the audience and to explain their creative processes.

The shop windows are illuminated by 11 p.m. so that interested parties can also admire the installations in the evening. The ENT association also offers free tours to give visitors a deeper insight into the works of art and their topics.
