Health policy in Melk: SPÖ warns of dangerous savings plans!
In an impressive start of the second health tour in Lower Austria, representatives of the SPÖ, led by Rudi Silvan and Günther Sidl, a member of the National Council, gathered, in the Volksheim Ybbs. They chose this start in Melk, since the hospital there was mentioned in a leaked paper as part of drastic savings plans. Silvan commented: "These plans are a clear attack on our regions." He emphasized the need to make health policy in the Melk district in a future -oriented manner. He paid special attention to the accessibility of doctors and pharmacies, also by means of public transport.
The concerns of the citizens were also discussed on the tour. Silvan reported that the health tour not only convey information, but should also create a space for exchange. The tour was also present in the adjacent districts of Scheibbs and Amstetten.
