This year's children's aid, which took place in Amstetten in September, set a record for Hilde Umbasch Haus with a sensational result of 39,200 euros. Over 1,200 runners from different age groups as well as numerous companies and sponsors were committed to helping children and adolescents who are shortened in life. The event, which took place on September 29, ensured great euphoria and commitment among the participants.

Olivier Loudon, the managing director of Malteser Kinderhilfe, was impressed by the support that the event received. "We are grateful and impressed by the great support that we were able to experience at this year's children's help. These donations enable us to further expand and maintain the offers in our special care facility of the Malta Order for sick children," he said. The Hilde Umdasch Haus, operated by the Malteser Kinderhilfe, is an important facility for the seriously ill young people.

The benefits of the donations

The financial support provided by the children's help is invaluable for Hilde Umdasch Haus. The public sector covers about two thirds of the total costs for the company, but it is important to the Maltese to do far more to help young patients individually. Therapies, special educational toys for sensory stimulation and eye -controlled laptops are financed with the donated means. These measures should make learning easier for the movement and language-restricted children.

In addition, gifts such as birthday and Christmas presents are organized for children who no longer have a family or whose relatives are financially burdened. These gestures contribute to giving the children a piece of normality and joy in difficult times.

The head of Hilde Umdasch Haus, Petra Hellmich, thanked on behalf of her team for the overwhelming support. She particularly emphasized Reinhard Gruber from the Heilportteam association, who, as the initiator of the run, contributed significantly to success. It will also be active next year if the 9th children's aid run will take place on September 28th, which can also collect points for the state championship classification.

The participation of personalities such as the mayor of Amstetten, Christian Haberhauer, and social country councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister at the event set an important sign of the aid campaign and the challenges in the inpatient long-term care of seriously ill children and adolescents.

As a further highlight, an advent approach will take place shortly. On November 29, an Advent market will be held in the Amstettner Bundeschulzentrum in favor of Hilde Umbasch Haus, which will also benefit the Maltese in Amstetten.
