New glimmer: First vacation place for SHT patients in Austria!
The first vacation and therapy facility in Austria for people with heavy traumatic brain trauma, known as Ylvie, takes shape! Initiated by Harald and Sandra Pfeifer, who even maintains an affected daughter, this unique facility is operated in a picturesque mill in Breitenwaida. Ylvie has been suffering from the consequences of a SHT since a serious car accident, and the Pfeifers have set themselves the task of offering other families in similar situations.
The challenge of the caring relatives is enormous. The constant burden - both financially and emotionally - means that many families have little chance of relaxing. They are challenged around the clock because the patient is often difficult to look after and regular therapy sessions are required. A simple vacation seems unreachable for most, which significantly reinforces the entire load. The Ylvie project pursues the goal of at least temporarily enabling these people to take a breather, as is reported at ylvie.at . Here it becomes clear that the support from specialists and the possibility of regeneration are of existential importance for the families concerned.
support from donations
In order to be able to offer these important services, the establishment requires financial support. Donations from the towns of Minichhofen and Parisdorf are already flowing to finance the necessary therapy work for the needy patients and their relatives. The initiators share the motto of Aristotle: "We cannot change the wind but set the sails differently." This means that despite all the challenges, alternative solutions have to be found in order to improve the well -being of the people affected, also reports Noen.at
