New support call for photovoltaics: secure grants now!
OeMAG, Österreich - On April 23, 2025, the EAG Investment subsidy Ordinance Order Novel 2025 was published, which is a significant step towards promoting renewable energies. According to OTS starts at 5 p.m. This novella supports investments in the field of renewable energies and is part of a comprehensive strategy for the energy transition in Austria.
Applicant for photovoltaic systems can apply for an investment grant before your systems are put into operation. The funding program not only includes photovoltaics, but also other technologies such as electricity storage, hydropower, wind power and biomass. In addition, the dates of the funding calls as well as the available funds and funding rates for 2025 were determined.
Details for the application
The OEMAG, which is responsible for the implementation of the new regulation, has made detailed guidelines available. These offer step-by-step instructions for the application in the EAG portal. Information and transparency promote the participation of the energy transition, according to the OEM AG .
- The application is made via the website eAG-Hiplungsstelle.at.
- funding applications can be made for the following technologies:
- hydropower
- wind power
- biomass
- photovoltaics and power storage
- Innovative photovoltaic systems can receive a surcharge of 30% to the funding rates.
- A discount of 25% on funding rates is intended for PV systems on agricultural areas or green areas, but with exceptions.
There is no defined minimum size for the expansion of PV systems, and applications can be accepted during an open conveyor call. In addition, all necessary permits must be available at the time of the application.
funding rates and remuneration
The Federal Network Agency announces the funding rates for solar systems within the framework of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). For commissioning up to 100 kW, the feed -in remuneration varies depending on the extent of the feed -in. The following funding rates apply to plants that are put into operation between February 1, 2025 and July 31, 2025
building or noise protection walls (107.94 kW) | 12.60 ct/kwh | 40.68 ct/kwh |
building or noise protection walls (100 kW) | 5.62 ct/kwh | 10.56 ct/kwh |
other systems (100 kW) | - | 6.39 ct/kwh |
The market premium for solar systems up to 1,000 kW applies above all to direct marketing and is based on how the Federal Network Agency Tenders. For wind turbines on land that do not take part in tenders, the values are also calculated based on the surcharge values.
Overall, the EAG investment granting regulation thus represents an important basis for the further development of renewable energies in Austria and is intended to pave the way for the energy transition through clear framework conditions and transparent procedures.
