Lisa Hauser: So she fights for her comeback in the biathlon!
The Austrian biathlete Lisa Hauser dared to start a fresh start in the current season after she had to fight over a long period of time last season. In an interview with Laola1, Hauser explains that she was sick for a total of eight weeks from September to April, which significantly impaired her performance. Despite these setbacks, she managed to achieve some strong results, including a podium in the single mixed relay. This season, however, it is optimistic because it is stable in terms of health and already concluded several times at the start of the season in Kontiolahti, a significant improvement compared to the previous year.
Before the season,Hauser decided to organize their preparation independently, which led to intensive discussions with the Austrian Ski Association, in which it was determined that separate training groups are not possible. When asked how her season would be successful for her, she replied that she would like to achieve good results in order to assert herself in the spotlight again. In addition, she expressed that it is easier for her if the expectations are distributed to several athletes, which reduces the pressure. The fan base is hoping for a podium in the team after it had just failed in the previous year.
Norwegian team enjoys strong comeback
The Norwegian skier Atle Lie McGrath, who shows impressive performances this season, recently dared to take a comeback after serious injuries. In an interview with the same platform, McGrath expresses how much the injury to his team -mate Aleksander Aamodt Kilde affected him during the race in Wengen. McGrath, whose dream of medals after a cruciate ligament rupture almost broke up last year, has now regained confidence in his skills and is fighting for top positions. He describes the emotional roller coaster, which he experienced because of his injury and how important team spirit is in times.
The connection between McGrath and his friend Lucas Braathen, who recently announced his resignation, is also strong. McGrath misses the times when they performed together as rivals, but friendship remains intact. He is convinced that Braathen's return to the competition could further strengthen its relationship.
With the passionate performance of both Hauser and McGrath, it becomes clear that the winter sports world is currently characterized by personal challenges and impressive comebacks. The athletes seem to be ready to show impressive results while they have to deal with the emotions and hardness of the competition at the same time.
