Art for the youth: strong festival brings culture to Carinthia!

The Carinthian Cultural Foundation (KKS) has established itself as a central authority to promote cultural projects in Austria in recent years. Founded in 2019 as the country's first non -profit cultural support foundation, the KKS is committed to supporting cultural diversity and creating networks that promote creativity and innovation. A remarkable example of your commitment is a multimedia theater program that will be carried out in Upper Carinthia in 2023. As part of these activities, the newly founded “Bühne der Pacht” theater festival will take place in Sankt Daniel in July 2023, which deals with power structures and appeals to people between the ages of 14 and 99.

highlight of the festival is the winning project of the 3rd Open Call “Youth and Culture”, which will be performed from July 3. to 6, 2023. This project encourages young people to deal with important social issues. Professional theater and filmmakers work closely with the young participants to create productions and short films. In addition, philosophical lectures promote dialogue between the generations.

premiere and financial support

The premiere of the winning project will take place on July 3, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the theater tent in Sankt Daniel. Those involved include Alina Fritsch, Karin Lischka, Julian Loidl, Matthias Mamedof and the Voxemble Osttirol. The KKS generously supports the project with a financing contribution of 100,000 euros. Further details can be found on the official website of the festival

The support of cultural projects is crucial for the lively cultural landscape in Carinthia. The focus on youth and culture is also in accordance with nationwide efforts to rethink cultural institutions. The program "the day after tomorrow - New Models for Cultural Institutions" in Germany recently promoted innovative approaches to encourage cultural institutions to become more common. It offers financial resources for up to 50 future projects that can receive up to 50,000 euros.

challenges and opportunities in cultural funding

The challenges for cultural institutions should not be underestimated. These often face complex cultural -political questions and have to find creative solutions to secure financial support. The federal cultural foundation in Germany encourages institutions to break away from day -to -day business and develop visionary concepts. Aspects such as organizational development, freedom of art and diversity are particularly emphasized.

Austrian cultural projects have learned similar support, whereby it is important to carefully observe the application procedures for funding. A complete application for subsidy requires a detailed project description and a clear financial plan in order to explain the use of public funds in detail. In the federal states and at the local level, emphasis is also placed on clear structures and specifications to ensure the quality of the projects.

Nevertheless, the cultural landscape remains dynamic and diverse. The efforts for innovative approaches and the promotion of talents are continued by institutions in Austria and Germany. The KKS and similar organizations are key elements that help to anchor art and culture in society.
