Artistic power games: Cultural Festival Stage of Power in the Gailtal!
From July 3rd to July 6th, the Gailtal in Carinthia becomes the stage of modern thinking. The cultural festival "Bühne der Pacht", under the artistic direction of Cornelia Rainer, addresses the concepts of power in personal and social contexts. The event is aimed at an audience from 14 to 99 years and is designed by professional theater and filmmakers as well as over 30 young people from Carinthia and East Tyrol. dolomitenstadt reports that the festival will offer diverse forms of art, including theater, film and philosophical discourses.
The central staging of the festival is Ödön by Horváth's piece "Faith, Love, Hope", which is listed in a specially built theater tent. The participants include an impressive ensemble, including members of the Burgtheater and Cabaretists from Simpl Vienna. In addition, short cinematic contributions from young people from the Lesachtal and East Tyrol are part of the program. Gailtal Journal emphasizes that the festival was awarded the winning project of the 3rd Open Calls "Youth and Culture" of the Carinthian Cultural Foundation.
philosophical discourses and creative exchange
A particularly innovative aspect of the festival are the philosophical lectures by Christine Bauer-Jelinek, who deal with the "power of faith, love and hope". These free lectures take place daily from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. In addition, there are "Philosophical Consultation hours" with Laura Achenbach, Bettina Bussmann and Gerd Forcher, who are available for personal dialogues from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interested parties can register for the lectures and consultation hours at production@buehne-der-chmacht.com
The festival should not only offer space for artistic exchange, but also contribute to the conveying of power competence as a tool to take on responsibility. This makes a contribution to cultural education and social discussion, which is particularly important in today's times. The cultural relevance of such festivals is underlined by various studies that indicate that they promote important social interactions and encounters. Bundesstiftung Live Kultur not only not only contribute to finding identity, but also as business drivers for the regions.
Overall, the "stage of power" promises to become an inspiring, cultural event that promotes the possibilities for creative exchange and dealing with relevant social issues. Whether theater performances or philosophical impulses - the festival offers a variety of perspectives on the subject of power and cordially invites everyone interested.
