The integration of AI in companies shows measurable results. 33 percent of operational actors report efficiency gains, while 22 percent of the cost reductions were able to determine. There is also positive feedback on higher customer satisfaction (19 percent) and sales growth (15 percent). A third of the companies have already taken the first steps to implement, a fifth has already progressed. 22 percent of companies still have no ambitions to invest in AI. Rainer Will, Managing Director of the Commercial Association, emphasizes that small and medium -sized companies need support in relation to access to AI.

Specifically, KI is used in companies primarily for text position (49 percent), translation (41 percent) and search optimization (37 percent). Retail also pays special attention, where customer personalization and product recommendations play a growing role. 67 percent of those surveyed would like AI-based shopping assistant. The Ki tool Chatgpt enjoys special popularity here: 75 percent of the population have already heard of it, and the application is particularly high for Generation Z. 60 percent use Chatgpt several times a week, 10 percent daily.

In Austria, around 18 percent of the population, in particular 34 percent of 12 to 28 year olds, have already used Chatgpt. The pressure with regard to ethical considerations and the need for the training of teaching staff is strong. Educational institutions are skeptical about AI technologies and partly rely on a ban in school contexts.
