Christmas magic in the bear shop: discover regional treasures
In the "Trippolt zum Bären" restaurant, the bear shop has developed into a popular destination for Christmas buyers. Every year this place transforms into a festively decorated sales room that offers local products during Advent. This year the "Little Christmas Shop" welcomes its guests for the fourth time. Silvia Trippolt-Maderbacher, the operator, mentioned that the idea behind the Christmas shop was created during the Corona pandemic. "There are Christmas markets, but a complete shop is unique in the region," she explains.
The shop offers a selection of handmade products from regional manufacturers. These include ceramics of "Love'n'Tol", handmade "Zirbnsoafn", truffle products, wooden stars and watercolors by the artist Josef Trippolt. Silvia emphasizes the trend that more and more people value local and handmade products. "People come from all valleys and mountain heights," she says. "You prefer to buy here than online, which shows that it is a concept that has grown."
an unforgettable shopping experience
The tasteful decoration of the shop ensures a festive atmosphere. There is also a bear punch that serves as a welcome refreshment. "It is not just purchases, but an experience where you can talk to people," explains Trippolt-Maderbacher. Gifts can also be packed on request, using natural materials to emphasize the sustainable aspect.
The "Little Christmas Shop" is open from November 20 to December 21st. The visiting options are well organized, with opening times from Wednesday and Thursday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. On the weekends, the range is offered continuously from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This enables visitors to buy in a relaxed atmosphere in the run -up to Christmas.
The feedback from the visitors show a consistently positive response: "The past few years have been extremely successful," reports Silvia. With this success story, the bear shop will continue to be a contact point for everyone who is looking for something special in the run-up to Christmas. This special Initiative is another example of how local shops in the region adapt and create innovative shopping experiences.
