Villacher gymnastics club mourns the loss of Arnulf Lechner - a life's work remains
Arnulf Lechner, a well -known personality in Villach and an estimated entrepreneur, died on November 6 shortly before his 85th birthday. Lechner worked as a civil engineer in the city and founded an electrical engineering office that still exists today. His tireless dedication and passion for his work left a lasting impression in the region.
But he was not only known as an entrepreneur. Lechner was chairman of the Villach gymnastics club for many years and remained an honorary member until his death. In this role, he contributed significantly to the growth of the association and initiated significant projects that shaped Villach's cityscape. An outstanding example of this is the construction of the three towers on the club building, which were realized by the HTL Villach. These construction projects testify to his vision and commitment to the community.

The Villach gymnastics club remembers Lechner as a "very personable, committed and disciplined person", which has made significant contributions for the association. "We had a great time with him," said his successor in office. Even years after Lechner's term of office, the members still benefit from his initiatives and ideas.
The funeral for the late chairman will take place on Monday, November 11th, at 1 p.m. in the update hall in meetings on Lake Ossiacher. The urn in the Friedensforst is then buried in the same community. This ceremony is not just an opportunity to look back and honor Lechner for his services, but also to appreciate the legacy he left
